War Thunder

In War Thunder, a clean setup helps you read the battlefield before it helps you chase frame-rate numbers. Start with the basics: a stable display mode, controls you can reach without looking down, and an interface that does not hide useful information.

On PC, set a resolution and display mode your system can maintain consistently. Then lower the visual options that make distant objects or terrain harder to read before sacrificing overall clarity. Test changes in a repeatable situation instead of changing five settings after one poor match. The goal is predictability: clear motion, readable targets, and input that reacts the same way every time.

Bind the actions you use under pressure—view control, movement, aiming, and any vehicle-specific command—to places your hand can reach naturally. Do not copy another player’s bindings blindly. A layout that looks competitive but makes you hesitate is worse than a simpler layout you can use without thinking.

Finish with a short practice session. Check audio balance, visibility, and whether the crosshair and interface remain readable. Settings are part of your game knowledge. Give them the same patience you give a new vehicle.
